Return to Activity Algorithmus - spine

The Return to Activity Algorithm (RTAA®) for the spine also consists of a functional test battery divided into four levels. Each level is based on two tests that assess functional and loadspecific movement patterns (extension, flexion, rotation, stability and jumping variants). The higher the level, the more demanding the tests. To pass a level, the patient should successfully complete all previous levels. Direct training therapy consequences can be drawn respectively from the test results.

The RTAA® for the spine can be used both after injuries and for non-specific back pain. It guides the patient back to the desired activity in a structured manner, accompanied and supported by objective data.
